Hi, nice to meet you. ^_^ I'm new here, this is just a drawing of a boy, thanks for looking. Sorry if it looks weird.

Looks like colored pencils?

I pretty much colored exclusively with colored pencils in my early teenage years. Along with soft crayon occasionally for large areas. Then digital corrupted me like it has so many others.

My only comment is that I feel it needs more contrast in the neck on the left side, but otherwise pretty good.

His mouth looks kinda narrow to me, but I'm not sure if that's actually wrong as such. Other than that, it's good I think. Certainly better than anything I ever did with coloured pencils.

all your dudes look tragically pretty. I can just see that last one saying "It's just so difficult having a heavenly man bosom". cheers and keep drawing.
They said they're gonna make it.
They didn't make it.

I agree, proportions are looking better! Be sure to try some profile and 3/4 angle portraits as well!

Your two recent drawings, and your last one especially shows a lot of improvement! The sensitivity to the values of the face is really apparent, and the highlights are nicely done as well (and done correctly).

The light contour lines on the nose and lips work well, but around the face and under the chin the lines get a little heavy-handed. Also, the eyes could use a little more definition in value--the rest of the drawing shows such a nice range of light and dark, and the eyes should get the same treatment!

You've come a long way in only a few months, so I just say keep drawing and show us your progress!
