I saw A-Team. I thought it was excellent. I used to watch the old show back in the day, and I felt that it was pretty true to the original. I guess that helps when you have one of the creators of the original show, Stephen Cannell, as one of the writers. The last action scene was a bit too absurd, but overall a wild ride.

I saw The A-Team. I agree with critics who say Liam Neeson kinda took his role too seriously (George Peppard played more of a lovable Hannibal) but overall it felt like a new A-Team and I liked it. The only real thing that kinda ate away at me was that, to me, Sharlto Copley looks more like Dirk Benedict at a distance, so I always mistook him for Face.

Oh, and that they didn't really capitalize on the theme music as much as they could have.

I watched Shoot 'Em Up on TV last night. Didn't expect a movie with a name like that to make me laugh, but it was great. Can't beat a carrot-eating protagonist.

What was your favourite scene of that movie?

Any scene involving a carrot. The movie is supposed to be cheesy, so the hero pulls out a carrot and starts eating it during completely random moments and during serious scenes. He uses carrots as weapons sometimes too.

Definitely intend to see it. Probably not until later though, I don't make it to the theater often.

I've heard mostly good comments about the story.

I downloaded the Tales of Vesperia First Strike movie. It is a prequel to the XB360 game. Loved the movie, I thought it was excellently done but at the same time felt like a video game movie.
Tales movie on ANN

I also finished watching another downloaded anime movie called Summer Wars. I highly recommend you check this one out just as it is an interesting look into a cool "what if" scenario through social networking. ANN Link for Summer Wars

Iron Man 2 is terrible compared to the first. Sure, it seems awesome when you walk out of the cinema, but about a day or two later, you start to realise, man, that really lacked the heart of the original. Also, plot holes abound! How did Whiplash know Tony Stark was going to randomly decide to race, and plan accordingly? Anyway.

Shoot 'Em Up is one of my favourite movies! Plus I just love Clive Owen.

Carrot through the mouth and out the back of the neck was the best. I don't know why they haven't done a sequel or a video game, it'd be perfect for it.

I've seen a lot of great movies lately. I buy a lot of Blu-rays, cos they're so cheap now, but there are tons I want to buy, but none of the shops stock. So I rented a bunch from a video store.

Zombieland - funny, gory, great all round movie.

Kung Fu Panda - way better than I thought it would be! And looks absolutely amazing on Blu.

Taken - Liam Neeson going all Jason Bourne on guys in France! Probably one of my favourite action movies ever.

In Bruges - very funny, with quite a lot of emotional hits. In the special features, there's a deleted scene that's a flashback to the bad guy's youth, and it's only freakin' Matt Smith! Eleventh Doctor as a badass cockney gangster who walks into a police station and beheads the chief? Hell yeah!

Coraline - great movie, looks amazing on blu, and the special features really make you appreciate how much effort goes into stop motion. It's insane.

Pineapple Express - I was expecting just a standard Apatow comedy about weed smoking, but it's way more awesome than that. Probably one of my favourite movies now.

I'm probably missing some, but that's the bulk of them.

I'm going to say the lousy 13m it made in the US box office is the reason there was no sequel or video game. Doubt they even turned a profit. It's a shame, most of the reviews called it garbage. Too many boring people who couldn't appreciate its humor I guess. The carrot through the neck scene was what got me hooked.

I want to see Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

Man, it only made that much? Pretty much everyone I know has seen it and loves it.

I guess it's like the Crank movies - over the top, stupid, not serious in any way. So a lot of people don't get it. But the Crank movies cost like $1m.

This is for Shoot 'Em Up:

Budget: $39,000,000
Gross revenue: $26,820,641 (worldwide)

Ouch. I don't know if that counts DVD and BD sales, rentals, etc. It probably doesn't.

I saw Inception. I think it was enjoyable enough. The ending was a little cheap to me, and all the characters were kind of one-dimensional, but it doesn't really hamper the film too much. I liked it much more than The Dark Knight... it was much less pretentious and obvious. Also, for a 2.5-hour film, it paced itself well.
