And my dad can barely get on the internet.

I worked for my high school's IT department and 99% of the time to fix something you would just turn it off and turn it back on :P

They said they're gonna make it.
They didn't make it.

Went to see my younger brother take on his first boxing match. His opponent told him he was going to beat the crap out of him before they entered the ring. End of first round and the guy bails out, saying he took too hard of a beating. There were 20-something matches and my brother's is the only one that ended on the first round. Dunno if I'll go back tomorrow night for the finals, it's 20 dollars each time. Kind of a rip-off since the prize offered is less than two grand and there were a couple thousand people there. If my bro keeps winning though he could do up to 4 matches tomorrow.

I should have just skipped tonight and waited for round two. Though on the plus side, a fist fight broke out in the crowd and the guy that got hauled off was kicking the police. The fight announcer just played along with it and goes "Whoa, whoa, there's no fist fighting here folks. This guy's only going to win a fine and a night of jail rape".

I had to explain what I meant by "hit enter". I think I win.
Well, turns out we had a software issue, so I took my comp to a friends, apparently the problem was a combination of 5 years sub-sub-par computer maintenance, crappy firewalls and antivirus and a WiFi router that died. So its all fixed now, but I have to buy a new router.

Was going to see the boxing finals, but they wouldn't let my brother enter because he's sick. He was sick for the first round too though and they still let him enter, so whatever. Will never know how far he would have advanced now....until the next time.

Good Superbowl. Saints won, and that was good because I didn't want the Colts to win.

Sup dudes. Doing some work on my dad's place this week, only been at it a few hours, and already I've been scratched and stabbed over 9000 times by bits of wood with nails in.

Ugh man. The cheeseburger macaroni leftovers I ate this morning has send me running to the bathroom twice so far and I'm not liking this one bit.

I'm currently taking Intro to Engineering and Design (according to my college class schedule) and that's about it for now.

Thanks to David my PS3 is now connected to the internet. Woo hoo! Now my only problem is perverts on Playstation Home. They need a "piss off" conversation preset ;)

If you are female, and talk through a mic online, you are pretty much garanteed to be sexually harassed by a bunch of losers who probably don't ever talk to girls in real life.

But you can use the voice changers on the consoles to lower your voice and sound less like a woman.
Or use a male avatar in PS Home, no one will ever bother you unless you're looking to actually play a game.

Even if you cloak your own identity you'll still have to listen to the same crap on any online game/environment, it will just be directed at someone else instead. Open racism and slander toward gender and orientation run rampant. Anyone who thinks society has progressed past those days needs only spend five minutes in a game.

At least you get to kill those people though. Pretty much whenever I get a string of kills some sore loser starts calling me a f*g, so I just relentlessly hunt him down over and over. This guy last night started up with me so I killed him six times in a row and he left the game. I also got a 14-kill streak just before that (10 players, game ends at 50 kills). I saved the video of it. :]

Yeah, pretty much 90% of people online are insanely hostile. Like, for example, on CoD, I will go into a game with 5 friends (and since they took party chat out...), I will be chatting amongst my friends. Pretty well instantly we get "OH MY GOD SHUT THE F**K UP!!!!"

It's seriously gotten so bad that I just mute everyone who isn't my friend, its just so damn annoying. I even get called black, and people use black racial slurs at me. Kind of odd, because I am a white kid from Canada.

Thankfully I don't have a headset so I don't have any perverts breathing heavily in my ear. They just like to run up to me and inform me of how big certain body parts are. What fun. lol

And people wonder why I have little interest in anonymous multiplayer. LANs with friends are great though. I remember we used to play CoD 2, the Tunisia map I think, for like 8 hours straight, and never got bored, be it two of us or eight. Had similar experiences with CoD4, but not to the same extent. Maybe we'll have similar experiences with Modern Warfare 2 oh wait they accidentally the whole dedicated server system and not a single person in the world plays it on PC, nice one guise.

Even more so on any SOCOM game. For every 200 male players you meet, there is 1 female (if you're lucky). But no matter the game its always "Are you a girl?!" "Are you hot?"...then some rather explicit things I'd rather not say.

Unfortunately that is all too true. People will pretty much say anything when there is no threat of repercussion. Its often ridiculous the slanderous racial remarks I've heard. And it gets even worse when they start including gender or sexual orientation.

Wow, didn't know you could be so blood thirsty. I'd like to see that video. But that is another thing. People online get way too angry over common sense. My buddy plays MW2 all the time. When he gets killed he gets pissed, EVERY TIME. And I'll watch the kill cam, it could be the person had a sniper and was aiming just in front of him, he gets pissed and says that should have missed. I'd try to explain that aiming where a moving target is going to be is better than keeping the cross hairs on it. But then he hits me, and hes strong.... Now, I get mad too. I mean if some one kills me once I'm not gonna blow up. But if some a-hole starts hacking the game for no reason then I think I have every right to be pissed off. And I played FTB2 for 2 years I've dealt with a lot of crap from hackers.

Yeah people hack Uncharted 2 occasionally too. I don't know how since it's console only and the PS3 is the only unhacked system (aside from Geohot's recent semi-hack). Whatever they do allows them to see you at any point on the playing field and they can shoot through all objects, so they can kill you within the first two seconds of the game. I always exit the game when that happens (only three times in about 500 matches so far).

I'll have to check if I can get my video online. There's an option to upload it, but I'm thinking that only allows PSN users to view it.

Heh, wallhax. That's some old school stuff right there.

I heard the PS3 had some pretty hacks, in games like CoD4. I remember seeing a video where players were immobilised in mid-air, with others picking them off mercilessly.
